Individual Horse Owner Liability will provide coverage for the horse owner's legal liability for both bodily injury and property damage to others resulting from the ownership of the horse. Individual owners of personal and/or show horses that do not derive income and are not involved commercially are eligible.
Commercial Equine Liability provides coverage for any commercial equestrian activities such as boarding, instruction, training, breeding, etc. Coverage is provided in the event you are sued by a third party, who is injured or whose property is damaged. The policy covers defense costs and pays claims for which you are legally liable up to the policy limit.
Care, Custody and Control provides coverage for a non-owned horse that is injured or dies while in your care. If you are proven negligent in a court of law the policy will provide coverage for the horse’s medical care or replacement of cost up to the policy limit. Your defense cost will also be covered. Riding Clubs and Associations can obtain coverage for seven event days with additional days available. This coverage provides the club or associations with coverage if they are faced with a lawsuit by a third party. Defense fees as well as claims for property damage and/or bodily injuries are covered.
