Surgical Coverage

Equine Surgical Insurance is available for horses to age 15 years by endorsement to your Full Mortality Insurance.
LIMIT:
$5,000.00 in the aggregate per insured animal per period of insurance.
COVERED CHARGES:
- SURGICAL TREATMENT: Reasonable and customary charges, including anesthesia, necessitated by accident, injury or illness, for the area by a licensed veterinarian.
- MISCELLANEOUS EXTRAS: Limited to 35% of the combined cost of the anesthesia and surgical treatment as described in one.
"EXTRAS" including actual charges for hospitalization, X-rays, medication and laboratory tests.
DEDUCTIBLE:
$50.00 each separate claim during the PERIOD OF INSURANCE.
THIS ENDORSEMENT
DOES NOT PROVIDE
COVERAGE FOR:
- Accident, injury or illness contracted prior to the effective date of this endorsement or any recurrence thereof.
- Expenses incurred for other than necessary surgical procedure.
- Any voluntary surgery, including but not limited to castration, caslick's operations and cosmetic surgery.
- Postmortem surgical operations.
- Any treatment normally associated with the maintenance of a healthy animal.
- Any animal used for racing.
The annual premium is $85.00.
